Summary: Toen we terplekke waren op de centrale parking hebben we de keyholder gebeld. De kennismaking met mevr. verliep voortreffelijke. Aangezien wij zeer dicht bij de Nederlands/Duitse grens wonen kunnen wij de gesproken taal heel goed begrijpen en ons zelf goed verstaanbaar maken. Het huis is enige jaren geleden geheel gerenoveerd en naar huidige maatstaven modern ingericht. De vele stopcontacten bijvoorbeeld maakt verlengsnoeren, verdeeldozen ed. geheel overbodig. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het aanwezig serviesgoed is voldoende. Helaas is de tussenruimte tussen de beide werkbladen erg smal. Tijdens de verbouwing heeft men de inbouw van de vaatwasser vergeten. De klep van de vaatwasser kon toen maar voor ¾ deel geopend worden door de smalle tussenruimte van 50 cm tussen beide werkbladen. Als oplossing heeft men een stukje uit de tegenoverliggende ondersteuningsmuur gezaagd. Dit is een beetje ondoordacht en knullig afgewerkt. De eerste avond tijdens het inpakken van de vaatwasser schampte ik met mijn rug lang deze ondersteuningsmuur met als resultaat een lange bloedende schaafwond! De sanitaire ruimte heeft ook een moderne uitstraling en is ook iedere centimeter goed benut. Onder de wastafel veel opbergmogelijkheden voor allerlei zaken die in deze ruimte nodig zijn. Het tweepersoonsbed slaapt perfect. Deze kamer is voorzien van een mooie garderobekast met schuifdeuren. De andere slaapkamer met eenpersoonsbedden is alles een beetje krap. Er blijft een smal looppad over waar geen mogelijkheid aanwezig is voor je bagage. Deze bagage kan dan eventueel in het halletje (overloop) staan. Samenvattend is dit huis perfect voor 2 volwassen met 2 kinderen maar minder geschikt voor 4 volwassenen. Op het terras aan de voorzijde van het huis is het heerlijk vertoeven. De zon schijnt eind van de middag wel onder de overkapping door waardoor je een poosje vol in de zon zit. Stoort je dit, dan is het simpel optelossen met wat doeken. De andere huizen om ons heen worden veelal in het weekend bewoont. Zijn allemaal privé bezit. Hierdoor is het lekker stil om je heen. De rust tijdens de weekenden wordt wel verstoort door de vele motorrijders welke hier hun snelheid stunten uithalen op de bochtige wegen en daarbij alleen denken aan hun eigen kick en het liefst alle auto’s verbannen. De bosrijke omgeving hier is fenomenaal. Het huis ligt centraal gelegen in een gebied voor velerlei doelgroepen. Wandelen door oude steden met prachtige vakwerkhuizen, tal van oude kastelen met hun goed onderhouden tuinen met daarin vele soorten bomen van honderden jaren oud.
